This review is for the Manager.  I cannot remember her name, however, she went above and beyond taking care of a Doordash order that had been delivered cold and inedible.  I reordered and was delivered food that was fresh and hot and also had some extras added.  She was very  professional and went out of her way to make me feel special as a customer.  The food here is my fave.  I wish I could go everyday but its not healthy to eat out everyday.  However, I do try to go once a week at least.  My special fave is the ice cream.  Mac and Cheese, waffle fries, the rolls and green beans are the best.  Also the sliders.

Pros: so this place my family and I go here almost every Sunday. It's always clean and the staff is very friendly. We've met the new owners  quite a few times and greeted us with a smile. The meat is always fresh and tasty. The kids eat free on Sunday's with a paid adult,  oh and did I mention free ice cream with cone!

Cons: not a lot of varieties as far as meals and also not a place for large group gatherings.

Just ordered from Grub Hub. This is the second time in a row that Dickeys screwed up our order. I even called to make sure they "read the notes". They sent wrong items again.

In general the food is decent, but i would seriously AVOID having anything from this place delivered. I just paid over $30 to have a "two meat plate and a drink" delivered and it showed up wrong.

I hoped the new owners would've made the customer service better....but it's just not the case....food is usually decent....service is bad..simple as that.

P.S. It looks like Grubhub may have removed the review option...it's not showing up for me.....so you may be unlikely to see the truth about this place there.....maybe choose another delivery option.

My wife and daughter decided they wanted a girls night out, so I had the opportunity to hang out with my son, his wife and my beautiful granddaughter. We decided to hang out at home to watch the Warriors beat the Rockets and have Dickey's delivered. I'll rate the delivery service soon.

We ordered a family pack with sliced brisket for the meat. The flavor was great, but it had so much fat that it was overwhelming. I've lived all over the south and have traveled across the US and feel that this is probably the worst I've had. I understand having some fat on there, but this was a bit much. There was more fat than meat.

Now, the sides were excellent! The BBQ beans were flavorful and tender. The Mac and cheese was great. I also ordered the fried okra. All were really good.

So all in all the food was flavorful, but again the brisket was more fat than meat. Next time I may try something else.

I moved here 3 years ago when I met my beloved husband. Bakersfield Dickey's was the first place I've ever been when it comes to Dickey's. I'm a little meh about this place.

I've only ordered the plates. Hubby has had the plates and sandwiches. The sandwiches are a little small but the portions are good. The plates have generous portions as well but some meats don't hold up with quality. One in particular is the turkey. To me, it tastes off. Texture also seems a little chewier than normal turkey. I've ordered turkey on two separate occasions and both times I've had the chewy kind. More chicken for me, I suppose. Speaking of chicken, Dickey's chicken is pretty scrumptious. Smokey, flavorful, and just darn yummy. The sides are also good. My favorites are potato salad and macaroni and cheese.

If you sign up for their "Big Yellow Cup Club" (see picture attached to this review), you can get coupons, offers, and discounts straight to your inbox. Plus, you get a pretty sweet Dickey's yellow cup just for signing up.
